FIRST AID LEVEL 1

First Aid Level One is the first course that should be completed should you want to learn the basics of helping someone that is injured or fallen ill.

This course is also the minimum required training needed by employers to comply with Regulation 3(4) of General Safety Regulations of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, 1993 “employers should provide a safe and healthy environment for their employees”.

This comprehensive course covers a wide range of First Aid emergencies, enabling all participants to:

Duration

A minimum of 16 hours spread over at least 2 days.  Ideally, the course should be run over 2 consecutive days, but we have the flexibility to accommodate your specific needs if you so desire.

Course Content / Modules Covered

A wide range of subjects is covered including:

If your organisation has a specific area of training that is not included, or you require a more in-depth session then we can accommodate you by providing additional training in that particular subject.

Certification

Subject to assessment, all participants will be issued with a First Aid Level (1) One certificate approved by the Department of Labour.

This qualification is valid for 3 years which can be renewed by attending a suitable 1 day re-qualification course.

FIRST AID LEVEL 3

Level 1-3/2-3

This course is designed to provide the participant with a more extensive medical knowledge with greater emphasis being placed on Medical Emergencies, other conditions and situation that is not covered in the Level One training.  This course is ideal for someone who wants more information to treat a greater range of patient(s), team leaders of workplace emergency response teas and/or someone wanting to enter into the medical profession be it medical, paramedical, nursing, physiotherapy, etc.

This comprehensive course covers a wide range of First Aid emergencies, enabling all participants to:

Duration

Level 1-3/2-3: 40 hours spread over at least 5 days.  Ideally, the course should be run over 5 consecutive days, but we have the flexibility to accommodate your specific needs if you so desire.

Entrance Requirement

Grade 9 educational level or equivalent – please submit proof with registration form.

Certification

Subject to assessment, all participants will be issued with a First Aid Level (3) Three certificate approved by the Department of Labour.

This qualification is valid for 3 years which can be renewed by attending a suitable 3 day re-qualification course

SHE REPRESENTATIVE

The Health & Safety appointment is a legal requirement under Section 17 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) and thus compulsory for every organization.

This SAQA aligned course (Unit Standards:  116518, 13167, 9964, 14897, 9443 and 116527) is to intended for individuals employed by any industry, where the employee may be required to make a work area safe before commencing work or needs to understand what the law requires of them in the workplace with regards to safety and how to work safely by following company precautions, safety standards and safety procedures.

Certification

Subject to completion of an assignment & assessment, all participants will be issued with a SHE Representative certificate approved by the Department of Labour.

FIRE AWARENESS TRAINING

It is a requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 that employers should provide a safe and healthy environment for their employees.

This comprehensive SAQA aligned course (Unit Standards:  13961, 110192, 110075 and 12484) covers an introduction to Fire Fighting and Awareness, enabling all participants to:

A minimum of 4 hours.

Certification
